Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2002 BMW 3 SERIES recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 2002 BMW 3 SERIES problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Powertech Select Motorcars recently picked up this super-cool 2002 BMW 325i Touring with a manual 5-speed transmission. This example is finished in Oxford Green Metallic over Sand leatherette interior and is set apart from the others with a great stance provided by the BC coilovers and 17 BMW Style 19 wheels. According to the CARFAX it is a two owner car with the original owner purchasing it in October 2001 and owning it until September 2018. It currently shows 190789 miles. It is being sold with a clean CARFAX and clear New Jersey title. A 2.5 liter inline six cylinder engine that was rated at 184 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque from the factory drives the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. It pulls well all the way up to redline without hesitation and that the shifter and clutch both feel very good. The interior is finished with Sand leatherette seats and features power and memory drivers seat and power passenger seat Harmon/Kardon stereo with an updated Eonon headunit with Bluetooth navigation etc. It is very clean for the age/mileage but does have some wear on the center console plastic fine cracking in the seats and that the dead pedal is cracked as can been seen in a picture in the gallery. The car shows well particularly for year/mileage despite some normal stone chips scratches and scuffs. The most significant blemishes are some surface rust that have been previously touched up as seen in pictures in the gallery. The clean CARFAX indicates numerous services throughout its life most recently at 184k miles indicating spark plugs were replaced along with a fuel injection flush. It drives looks great and drives very well. No pixels out in the dash or center console and A/C is ice cold! Heres your chance for a rear wheel drive 5-speed manual that looks and drives great!!!4-FUNCTION ON-BOARD COMPUTER|6-WAY PWR FRONT SEATS|PREMIUM HARMON/KARDON SOUND SYSTEM|PWR TILT/SLIDE GLASS MOONROOF|EXTRA COST PAINT|LEATHERETTE SEAT TRIM|5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION W/DIRECT 5TH GEAR|Chrome & body-color detail trim|Dual body-color pwr heated mirrors|Halogen fog lights|Heated windshield washer jets|Low liftover tailgate w/seperately opening rear window|Rear window wiper/washer|Roof rails|Adjustable head restaints for all seating postions|Automatic climate control w/microfilter ventilation|Check Control vehicle monitor system w/pictogram display|Dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors|Footwell lighting|Front/rear map reading lights|Fully finished cargo area|Illuminated cargo area-inc: underfloor storage space retractable cargo net horizontal cargo cover & tool kit|Leatherette split folding rear seats|Locking glove box w/rechargeable take-out flashlight|Prewired for CD changer alarm garage door opener cellular phone|Pwr rear hatch release|Pwr windows w/1-touch up/down|Rear center armrest w/storage compartment 2 cup holders|Service interval indicator w/miles-to-service readout|Tilt/telescopic steering wheel|Titanium finish trim|2.5L (152) DOHC 24-valve I6 engine w/variable valve timing|Dual resonance intake system|Electronic throttle control|Front/rear stabilizer bars|MacPherson strut front suspension w/forged aluminum lower arms hydraulic cushions|Multi-link rear suspension w/cast aluminum upper transverse arms|Rear wheel drive|Twin-tube gas pressure shock absorbers|Variable engine-speed-sensitive pwr rack and pinion steering|3-point safety belts for all seating postions|Automatic-locking retractors on all passenger safety belts for installation of child restraint seats|Battery safety terminal|Child seat automatic safety belt locking device|Coded driveaway protection|Crash sensors automatically turn on hazard/interior lights & unlock doors|Driver & front passenger airbag supplemental restraint system (SRS) w/dual stage dual-threshold deployment sensors|Front door-mounted side-impact airbags|Front seat side-impact tube-deployed head protection system (HPS)|Fuel cutoff (triggered by airbag deployment)|Height adjustable front safety belts w/automatic tensioners force limiters|Rear child safety seat anchors|Rear door child safety locks|Side-impact interlocking door anchoring system
