Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1960 Toyota LAND CRUISER recalls can be found in this database. Additional Description: 1960 Toyota FJ28L Short Wheel Base Pickup. The "L" stands for left hand drive. It is believed that a coffee planting cooperative imported between 5 and 7 of these cars to Venezuela in 1960. Toyota Corporation had not entered the Venezuelan market in 1960 so these cars were only available directly from Japan. There are only 3 of these exact cars. One of these is restored in the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Utah, the second one is unrestored in a private collection in Los Angeles, and this is the third. The truck was found approximately 5 years ago in a very small town called Santa Ana in Venezuela, the car was very original when found. This a nut and bolt high-end restoration that required much research to respect it's originality. This is an ultra rare vehicle deserving of any Toyota or Japanese collection. By appointment only.
