Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1957 Ford THUNDERBIRD recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. Additional Description: GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1957 Ford Thunderbird to the global market. This is one of the nicest and cleanest Thunderbirds to come through our doors. It is powered by a dual four-barrel carbureted 312 CID V8 sending power to the rear wheels through a 3-speed manual transmission. With just 1958 miles on the odometer, this is a wonderful restored Thunderbird. This bird was the recipient of a complete restoration by the world-renown Minter Restoration company. The car retains its original PPG windshield. The car comes with lots of documentation, including history back to the original owner, window sticker and sales agreement, and much more. This extraordinary Thunderbird is finished in a beautiful Raven Black exterior over red interior. All of the chrome trim retains its shine both on the exterior and interior. With air conditioning, cruising down the road is sure to be a pleasure. Both the porthole hardtop and soft top remain in great condition. Cosmetically, this 1957 T-Bird is beautiful in every way. The interior is absolutely stunning, the seats, dash, and turned brightwork are all awesome, the gauges beautiful as well as door panels, etc. The exterior panel fit is excellent as well as the paint, chrome, and trim. Under the hood is exceptionally clean as well. Mechanically, this T-bird is spot on. Runs and drives fantastic, the motor runs strong, the transmission shifts proper, the power steering, brakes, and suspension all lend to an enjoyable and confident driving experience. The Ford Thunderbird project was in direct response to that of the Chevrolet Corvette, but not very similar. In fact, the number of T-Birds sold the first 3 years of production was much greater than the Corvette. This might have been the result of a better marketing campaign by Ford. They were the first to market the term personal luxury car vs sports car. The original 2 seater personal luxury car reached its pinnacle in the final year of production, 1957. The car received some subtle styling changes upfront along with pronounced tail fins on the rear of the car. Fords Thunderbird for 1957 still remains one of the most recognizable cars on the planet. This example comes with many original documents as well as a history of the previous owners. Now is your chance to own a truly great example of a first-generation Thunderbird.
