Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1969 Dodge DART recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 1969 Dodge Dart Swinger, another barn find! Found in Spring 2018 in old, dry dairy barn, Attica, NY. Original Virginia car (see picture). Last driven in 1981. This car was driven only 12 years! It was intended to be a drag car, but never reached that goal. Thankfully it was never hacked up. Being in dry storage, there is no rust and looks laser straight. The prior owner smartly rebuilt another 340 block (2-1973) using all other original engine components (heads, intake). Owner has the original #s matching 340 block and crank. A local machine shop recently boiled and magnafluxed the block to assure it is 100%. It also has the stock bore. He also has the original carburetor, radiator, jack, original fender tag, and build sheet (in excellent condition): Radiator part #2949066 (1969 A Body 340) - Intake part #2531915-2 (340 four-barrel) - Exhaust manifolds: RH = 2863549 * LH = 2863553 (1968-1971 340) - Heads: RH = 2531894 * LH = 2531894 (1968-1970 340) Here are some fender tag decodings: E55 = 340 4-BBL 275 hp - D32 = 727 3-spd auto trans - LM23 = Dart Swinger 340 - M21 = Drip sill moldings - M25 = Body sill moldings - R11 = AM radio - V1X = Full black vinyl roof - V8W = White sport stripe - A01 = Light package - A46 = Molding package - G11 = Tinted glass - G31 = RH outside mirror - G33 = LH outside mirror - D25 = Windshield wipers 3-spd variable - R4 = Bright red paint - X9 = Black interior The interior, glass and stainless are all original and in unbelievable condition for being fifty-one (51) years old. The engine is fresh and runs awesome, some new parts include: Edelbrock carburetor, distributor w/Petronix kit, lifters, push rods, cams, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, bearings, rings, water pump, fuel pump and alternator. Also done: rehoned cylinders and professional valve job on heads. Also pertaining to driveline, both the transmission and rear end were professionally checked out and given a green light! Many parts are new.
