Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1977 Pontiac CAN AM recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1977 Pontiac CAN AM problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1977 Pontiac Can Am for your consideration. It is powered by a 400ci V8 motor which has been bored out .040 and has had the heads shaved .030. Along with those engine modifications, it has flat top pistons, a comp cam with .470 lift, and air gap hi-rise manifold, Hedman headers, and a 2-inch exhaust. This car originally came with an automatic transmission but has since been swapped with a super T-10 4-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch. This swapped transmission shifts smooth and works well with the original W72 motor. All Can Ams were finished in Cameo White with black window trim and the absolutely awesome burgundy leather interior. The 3-color decals that run along the side of the car and across the hood are in great condition with the color scheme being found on the interior seats and headliner as well. This car features an aftermarket radio, power steering, and power brakes. It is a true joy to drive and is sure to attract plenty of attention. While the numbers have never been officially verified, it is widely believed that roughly 1,400 of these cars were produced in the 1977 year. Pontiac only produced the Can Am for one year despite never fulfilling the nearly 5,000 orders they had for the car. This is a wonderful example of an increasingly desirable car.
