Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 1992 GMC TYPHOON recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 1992 GMC TYPHOON problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: Clean CARFAX. Green Metallic 1992 GMC Jimmy Typhoon 4WD 4-Speed Automatic 4.3L V6 12V 4WD. Here is a great opportunity to own a killer Typhoon with incredible history, fresh restoration, and low miles. When this vehicle was purchased by it's first owner new, he had the color changed to all black. Then, since he was stationed in Japan, had the car shipped to Japan where the side marker lights, rear bumper light, engine sticker, and sticker on the top right of the windshield were added to meet the standards for Japan. When we acquired this Typhoon late last year, we thought it was correct to return it to it's original glory since there were only 82 in 1992 of this color combination. We removed all the glass, stripped off all the moldings, and took apart the front and back to ensure a spectacular paint job. Then we had our GM certified technicians go through this car from front to back to repair/replace anything they found of concern. We have taken all the pain out of the process so the new owner can enjoy the pleasure of owning this Typhoon. What you see now is a result of all that hard work. We have enjoyed having this Typhoon in the shop for our customers to see during the restoration process, but now it is time for a new home.
